Report on the One-Day Workshop: “Familiarizing Students with Academic Articles and the Process of Publishing in the Salam Scientific Journal”
The Research Management Office of the Vice-Chancellery for Research at Salam University, in coordination with various faculties, organized an academic workshop titled “Familiarizing Students with Academic Articles and the Process of Publishing in the Salam Scientific Journal” on Wednesday, 26 Sunbula 1404 in the university’s conference hall. The workshop aimed to enhance the academic and research capacity of students, particularly master’s students from the Faculties of Economics and Engineering.
The program began with the recitation of several verses from the Holy Qur’an by Hikmatullah Siddiqi, a third-semester student of Fiqh and Law. Afterwards, Mohammad Tariq Sayar, Administrative Director of the Research Vice-Chancellery, delivered the opening remarks. He welcomed the participants and provided a brief overview of the workshop’s theme.
Subsequently, Professor Nasir Ahmad Nowidi, Vice Chancellor for Research, delivered his academic presentation consisting of two main parts.
In the first part, he explained the concept of an academic article, its structure and components, followed by a discussion on research proposals, how to initiate research, and methods of collecting data from reliable sources with relevant examples.
In the second part, he presented a detailed overview of the steps involved in publishing an article in the Salam Scientific Journal.
The workshop content was well-received and appreciated by the participants.
