Master's program in jurisprudence and law

 

Undoubtedly, the comprehensive development of a society is based on presence of profoundly educated and professional people in the society who get enough experience of analysis and research in the light of major goals by passing the master and doctoral stages. Thus, Salam University has set the following goals to achieve this supreme aim:

 

1. Assisting scholars who have gained strong academic skills in their field of study to become professionals and specialists.

 

2. Educating academic staff who have acquired the ability of analysis, research and initiative in various fields of jurisprudence and law to be able to convey their educational achievements to others.

 

3. Providing the ground and platform for the production and interpretation of new science through discussion and authentic research.

 

4- Presenting professional and creative personalities in order to teach and work in the fields of Sharia and law, judiciary and attorney, defense advocacy, religious teachings and instructions, sermons and preaching, solving social problems and issues and authoring.

 

Objectives of Curriculum of the Master of Jurisprudence and Law program:

 

1- Acquiring the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge and comprehension of various issues at the level of Afghanistan and the world.

 

2- Providing the ground for students to gain education and knowledge in the field of jurisprudential, legal and principles of jurisprudence related issues.

 

3- Equipping students with a strong base in the research section to pursue and continue higher education in the relevant field.

 

4- Developing the students’ talents to the extent that they can extract issues and rulings from the main principles and authentic sources of legislation.

 

5- Creating the ground for better understanding and spreading balanced and distant from fanaticism regarding the jurisprudential issues through education and awareness about the principles of different schools of jurisprudence.

 

6- Enhancing the talent and ability of legislation in students through discussions and comparative research between religions, jurisprudential schools and various international laws and laws of Afghanistan.

 

7- Providing the students with awareness of the authentic sources of legislation in Islamic societies through comparative discussions and researches.

 

8- Training the specialized cadres to meet the needs of our beloved country in the fields of discussion and research, teaching and legislation.

 

Expected Results of the Program:

 

Implementing the aforementioned goals will lead to great consequences which can be summarized as bellow:

 

A: Acquiring of jurisprudential, juridical and principles of jurisprudence related skills:

 

Graduates of this program will obtain the following skills:

 

1-      Gaining the ability to impart jurisprudential, legal and principles of jurisprudence related issues to others.

 

2-       Obtaining the ability to understand cultural, national and imitative aspects when issuing fatwas and expressing rulings on jurisprudential and legal issues.

 

3-       Earning negotiation and communication skills in order to unify and integrate ideas with the parties involved in the case.

 

4-       Acquiring leadership skills to gain the credibility of stakeholders and attract their attention to general issues.

 

5-       Attaining invitation skills to Islam and Influence on decision-making individuals and institutions in public issues.

 

B: Acquiring language skills:

 

1-       Using accurate and error-free Arabic language in reading, writing, research and conversation.

 

2-       Gaining the ability to precisely explain the texts of jurisprudence and the texts of principles of jurisprudence in national languages.

 

3-      Acquiring the ability to exchange opinions and ideas with academic associations in Arabic.

 

4-       Obtaining the ability to ask questions about essential jurisprudential, legal and principles of jurisprudence related issues and receive answers to questions requiring deep research and study.

 

5-       Attaining the ability to make speech in high level scientific conferences and present lectures in national and international seminars and conferences.

 

6-       Acquiring the ability to speak in a special and eloquent accent of Arabic Language.

 

C: Specialized use of the main sources of the field:

 

1-       Utilizing sharia texts properly in the field of understanding and analyzing jurisprudential issues.

 

2-       Getting acquainted with the main sources of jurisprudence taught in religious schools and the schools of thought within Islamic jurisprudence.

 

3-       Benefiting from the sources of the principles of jurisprudence of different schools of thought within Islamic jurisprudence.

 

4-       Benefiting from reliable international legal sources in contemporary jurisprudential issues.

 

D: Leadership skills:

 

Graduates of this program will acquire the following abilities:

 

1- Gaining the accurate and fair interaction toward jurisprudential views, theories and differences.

 

2- Guiding the nation rightly when religious disputes take place among them.

 

3- Meeting the needs of the community in the field of judiciary, litigation, legislation and law making.

 

5- Gaining the Skills of creating thought in accordance with the conditions and demand of the current situation of the Afghan society.

Shukrullah Mukhlis son of Qazi Gholam Mohammad Mukhlis was born in 1974 in Nangarhar Province, Haska Mina district, Shpule village, Lakarri tribe.  

He studied primary, secondary, and high schools in emigration land Pakistan.  In 1994, he received his first bachelor degree in Jurisprudence & Law from Islamic University of Science and Technology, which was later merged with Nangarhar University, and he got his second bachelor degree in Islamic Studies from Islamabad International University in 2001.   

In addition, he graduated from Imdad al-Uloom Madrasa in Peshawar, and completed all requirements of Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, Pakistan and graduated with honor. The certificate of Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, Pakistan is evaluated as the equivalent of a master's degree in Islamic Studies and Arabic literature.   

In 2006, he obtained master's degree in Tafsir (Interpretation) & Hadith from Islamabad International University.  

In 2016, he completed the study period of Ph.D. in the field of Islamic Studies, and his thesis or dissertation writing process is underway.

He has been working as permanent lecturer at Sharia Faculty of Salam University since 2017, and he has been working as head of Graduate Program of Salam University since 2019.

The master's program in the field of Interpretation and Hadith is committed to provide experts to the community by implementing the set goals and plans. It strives to educate experts who will be able to analyze and research issues and prepare academic cadres in the relevant fields so that they will develop proper understanding of the two main sources of Islamic law and have an effective role in the true leadership and guidance of society.

Mission

The mission of the Master’s Program of Interpretation and Hadith is to increase the level of knowledge of Afghan youths in the field of interpretation and explanation of the first and second sources of Islamic law in order to boost the accurate understanding of Islam in all aspects and present professional individuals to the community who will have a significant role in participating in analytical and research projects.
