Abridged Summary of Ibn Khaldun’s Muqaddimah Ready for Publication
The book “Mukhtasar Muqaddimat Tareekh Ibn Khaldun” (Abridged Summary of Ibn Khaldun’s Muqaddimah), the scholarly work of the distinguished scholar Dr. Misbahullah Abdulbaqi, President of Salam University and Professor at the Faculty of Sharia, has been successfully completed and is ready for publication. This academic work has been faithfully translated and summarized from the original comprehensive Arabic text into clear, fluent, and widely understandable Pashto. The scholarly annotations and chapter summaries prepared by the researcher have further enhanced the importance and value of the book.
The Muqaddimah of Ibn Khaldun has been included in the new curriculum of the Ministry of Higher Education as a compulsory university subject for the master’s degree program and has wide academic application. The purpose of this subject is to familiarize master’s students with the greatness of Islamic historical heritage and the constructive ideas of prominent thinkers and sociologists of the Muslim Ummah.
